How Long Do OnlyFans Payouts Take? Pending Periods, Methods and Fixes

Getting paid on OnlyFans happens in two stages: money sits as pending for a while, then becomes available for you to withdraw to your bank or wallet. Most "where's my money?" problems come from not knowing which stage you're in. This guide explains both, the payout options, and what to do when a payout is late.

Editorial note: Based on the OnlyFans Terms of Service checked on 8 October 2026 and the VANTA team's experience. OnlyFans' help centre wasn't available to automated checks, so timings below are typical rather than official, and the exact options shown in your account depend on your country. General information only.

How long do OnlyFans payouts take?

Typically, earnings show as pending for around a week before they become available, then a withdrawal takes a few business days to reach your bank, depending on the method and your country. New accounts, international transfers and accounts under review can take longer. Your statements page shows when each payment becomes available.

Why are OnlyFans earnings pending?

Pending periods give time for payments to clear and for refunds or chargebacks to show up before money leaves the platform. OnlyFans' terms say earnings are only available for withdrawal once they're reflected in your account, and that OnlyFans can deduct your share of payments that fans successfully refund or charge back.

That's also why a large chargeback can reduce your available balance. Our guide to OnlyFans refunds and chargebacks explains how they work.

What is the minimum payout on OnlyFans?

OnlyFans requires your available balance to meet a minimum payout amount before you can withdraw. The figure most often quoted is $20, but OnlyFans doesn't state it in its terms, and it can vary by payout method. Check the payout page in your account for the current minimum.

All fan payments and creator earnings are in US dollars. If your bank account is in pounds, euros or another currency, your bank or e-wallet may charge conversion fees, and OnlyFans' terms say it doesn't control exchange rates or those charges.

What payout methods does OnlyFans offer?

The methods available depend on your country. Creators commonly see direct bank transfer, international bank transfer and, in some countries, e-wallets. You choose a payout option when you set up your creator account, and you can usually request payouts manually or set automatic payouts on a schedule.

Things to compare when choosing a method:

UK creators can usually receive payouts into a UK bank account, which your bank converts from dollars. US creators commonly use direct deposit. Worldwide creators should check the list shown in their own account.

Why is my OnlyFans payout taking so long?

The most common causes are earnings still in the pending period, a balance below the minimum, missing or incorrect bank details, a name mismatch between your ID and bank account, missing tax forms, or an account review. Weekends, bank holidays and international transfers add time.

Work through this checklist before contacting support:

How do you set up payouts correctly first time?

Most payout problems start at set-up. Use a bank account or wallet in exactly the same name as your verified ID, complete any tax form OnlyFans asks for straight away, and make a small first withdrawal to confirm everything works before relying on larger payouts. Then keep your details up to date.

  1. Verify your identity and wait for approval before adding payout details.
  2. Add a bank account or wallet in your own legal name.
  3. Complete the tax information OnlyFans requests for your country.
  4. Request a small first payout and note how long it takes to arrive.
  5. Decide between manual and automatic payouts once you know the timing.

Can OnlyFans withhold your payouts?

Yes, in some circumstances. OnlyFans' terms allow it to restrict payouts or close accounts if you fall behind on tax you owe, withhold earnings when a lien or similar claim is placed on them, and withhold earnings when people in co-authored content don't provide required information. Breaching the terms can also lead to withheld earnings.

If payouts are held, read any email from OnlyFans carefully and respond with what it asks for. If you disagree with a decision, OnlyFans has a complaints policy and an appeals policy.

How do payouts work when you have an agency?

Payouts should always go to your own bank account or wallet, in your name. A legitimate agency then invoices you for its commission. You should never be asked to change your payout method to an agency's account, because that hands it control of your money and makes leaving much harder.

At VANTA, payouts go to the creator's own account and VANTA invoices the creator. Commission is a percentage of net profit, meaning your earnings after OnlyFans takes its 20% fee, and the rate is agreed individually. If an agency asks to receive your payouts, treat it as one of the red flags to check before signing.

Do you pay tax on OnlyFans payouts?

Yes, in most countries. OnlyFans pays earnings without deducting tax, and its terms make creators responsible for their own tax. UK creators usually report through Self Assessment; US creators may receive a Form 1099-NEC. See our guides to OnlyFans tax in the UK and whether OnlyFans sends a 1099.

Frequently asked questions

How often does OnlyFans pay out?

You can usually request a payout whenever your available balance is above the minimum, or set automatic payouts on a schedule. Each payment still goes through the pending period first.

Does OnlyFans pay in pounds?

No. OnlyFans transacts all fan payments and creator earnings in US dollars. A UK bank account receives the payout after conversion, and your bank may charge fees for the exchange.

What shows on my bank statement from OnlyFans?

The payer name depends on OnlyFans' payment processor and your payout method, so it can vary. If privacy matters, check what appears with your bank or wallet provider, or ask OnlyFans support before your first payout.

Can I change my OnlyFans payout method?

Yes, through your banking or payout settings. Changes may trigger extra verification and can delay the next payout. Make sure any new account is in your own name.

Does VANTA ever receive creators' payouts?

No. Payouts go to the creator's own account. VANTA invoices the creator for its commission.
